The first stage of every project is the Discovery Phase—a dedicated period focused on understanding your goals, aspirations, and functional requirements for the space. Together, we develop a comprehensive design brief that will guide the project through each subsequent stage of the process.

We explore the space collaboratively, ideally in person and on site; however, this stage can also be undertaken using videos or architectural drawings where the property is still under purchase or in the construction phase. During this time, we compile a detailed record of existing furniture and fixtures, key pieces to be retained, overall style direction, conceptual intent, and any project-specific requirements. As part of this initial phase, we conduct a detailed site survey to obtain accurate dimensions. These inform the creation of a precise 3D model of the space, enabling us to develop the design and present it through highly realistic digital rendered imagery. This provides a clear, immersive visualisation of the proposed design.

Site orientation is also carefully considered, informing the selection of a thoughtful and contextually appropriate palette of colours and durable materials. This approach ensures the design responds harmoniously to its environment, supports its functional use, and evolves gracefully over time—remaining timeless, relevant, and refined for years to come. Being on site for this analysis is always beneficial.

The property visit, consultation in situ, and on-site measuring is all included in your design service.

The next stage is the design development process. Guided by the brief, we work behind the scenes to explore, test, and analyse a range of design ideas and solutions. The strongest and most well-considered concepts are then carefully curated into a comprehensive design proposal, which includes:

• Concept Collage – a visual mock-up capturing the look and feel of the proposed design

• Architectural Drawings – plan, section, and elevation CAD drawings to scale

• Detailed Technical Drawings & Joinery Design (if relevant to the project)

• 3D Rendered Visualisation – a realistic preview of the final design

• Sample Collage – including annotations for clarity and physical samples

• Product Collage & Shopping List – recommended items and sources

• Trade Discounts (where applicable)

• Ongoing Support

• Revisions – up to two stages of amendments based on your feedback

Once the proposal is complete, we will host a design presentation. Design is a collaborative process, not a one-way exercise — this is your opportunity to ask questions, share feedback, suggest refinements, and request any adjustments to ensure the outcome aligns perfectly with your vision.

A digital copy of the presentation will also be provided for your reference and future use.

Depending on your preference, we can either manage the entire project on your behalf or provide a curated list of actions for you to execute independently. In both cases, we will remain actively involved, offering guidance and support until the very end.

Depending on the complexity of the project, we may also create and provide an infographic diagram to clearly communicate the design concept, helping you and all involved parties understand the vision and move forward with confidence and ease.
